U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the Warehouse Worker position in U.S. Consulate General, Lahore.

Basic Function of the Position – The incumbent is responsible for safe handling, moving and storage, and inventory of both expendable and non-expendable items. S/He is responsible for loading and unloading of both expendable and non-expendable items from trucks/vans to the warehouse(s). The incumbent operates forklifts, trolleys and other electrical or mechanical equipment to safely move and transport heavy items. S/He is responsible for keeping log of incoming and outgoing warehouse items to assist with inventory control. The incumbent escorts visitors, outside contractors and non-cleared employees at post when required.

Qualification Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum two (2) years of experience in manual labor or warehouse work is required.

EDUCATION: Completion of Primary School (5 Years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: The incumbent should be able to gain good knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, United States Government safety and security standards. The incumbent should have good knowledge of maintenance and efficient usage of warehouse storage space. Should also possess knowledge of conducting inventory and stacking of items/equipment.

LANGUAGE: Level I (Rudimentary Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English and Level II (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in Urdu are required.

Skills And Abilities: The incumbent is required to be able to perform loading and unloading. Should be able to handle heavy objects smoothly and efficiently. The incumbent should have ability to use warehouse tools and safely operate equipment such as forklifts, handle trolleys, electronic lifters. Must be able to perform assigned tasks in all types of weather and environmental weather conditions to include at times severe cold, extreme heat, wet or dry weather conditions and high winds. Skills and abilities may be tested.
