U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the Security Investigator positions in U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.

Basic Function of the Position – Working in the Regional Security Office (RSO), the Foreign Service National Investigator (FSNI) conducts security investigations and maintains liaison with local police and other security and law enforcement officials. Conducts research on behalf of other U.S. law enforcement agencies for criminal investigations. The incumbent assists the RSO team in coordinating protection for post personnel and visiting U.S. government officials, obtaining, and reporting on information concerning potential security threats to post personnel, facilities, or information. Coordinates dignitary visits and facilitates international conferences. Coordinates with local authorities by traveling to different cities in the country to facilitate VIP visits to those locations.

Qualification Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three (03) years of work experience in law enforcement, military, private security, or investigation is required.

EDUCATION: Completion of College or University Studies (14 years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: The incumbent should have good working knowledge of the local and regional judicial system including criminal laws and procedures, and laws regarding marriage, divorce, adoption, and military service. Should also possess detailed knowledge of investigative techniques and security databases.

LANGUAGE:  Level III (good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking in English and level IV (fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking in Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.

Skills And Abilities: The job holder should have excellent interpersonal skills and have an ability to conduct investigations with utmost discretion. Should have an ability to draft correspondence and reports in English. Should be skillful in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). The position holder should be able to work independently or in a team setting. A Pakistani valid driver's license for Motor Car/Jeep is required. Applicants must show proof that they have a minimum of five years of licensed driving experience. Skills and abilities may be tested.
