FPHC is looking for a competent Nurse/LHV/Midwife for its Ahmad Shah Abdali Hospital Mardan

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To carry on day to day RH, especially EmOC routine activities.
  • Independently conduct NVD (Normal Vaginal Delivery) in 24/ 7 Basic EmOC Health facility.
  • Manage most post-partum hemorrhage through use of parental oxytocin and abdominal massage.
  • Manual removal of placenta.
  • Removal of pieces of placenta (E&C)
  • Manage eclampsia/pre-eclampsia through provision of parental antihypertensive.
  • Recognize & manage PP infection through use of parental antibiotic.
  • Manage incomplete abortion with MVA, E&C.
  • Provide immediate/emergency new born care including resuscitation.
  • Ensure initiation of immediate breast-feeding by educating mother and family members
  • Provide antenatal and postnatal care to clients where required.
  • Provide standard FP services and counseling.
  • Ensure proper implementation of FPHC’s protocols on EmOC and referral mechanism
  • Ensure and maintain the system of infection prevention, universal precaution and waste management.
  • Maintain all records, registers, cards etc. in EmONC facility and prepare and submit reports of activities as required.
  • Actively participate in smooth functioning of EmOC centre, attend meetings, training sessions and other events in the center as required.
  • Actively participate in health education session.
  • Support team leader in maintaining financial system. (Charge system, cash, discharge slip).
  • Provide support to junior staff as required
  • Any other task assigned by EmOC Coordinator/Team Leader.

Qualification:

  • LHV/ Midwife/ Nurse Certification.

  • Following rules & regulation.
