U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the General Services Clerk (Customer Service Center Clerk) position in U.S. Embassy Islamabad.
Basic Function of the Position: This position is the receptionist for the Customer Service Center (CSC) who is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers and supportingservices delivery for both American and local employees, permanent & temporary. The incumbent is the primary employee taking photographs of every new arrival at post andprovides direct administrative support to three CSC Assistants. Maintains files and records, drafts and types office memos, handles internal mail and maintains office supplies. Mustalso serve as CSC Assistant back-up.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Completion of Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 years of education) is required.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of administrative work experience is required.
Job Knowledge: The incumbent must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with American and Locally Employed (LE) Staff. Must haveunderstanding or the demonstrated ability to gain knowledge of the tenants of customer service. The position holder must have familiarity orgood understanding of the Foreign service community and the structure of the federal government. Must have good working knowledge ofadministrative procedures and practices. General computer literacy, office management and administrative skills are required. Must also havestandard knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Skills And Abilities: The incumbent must be adaptable, flexible and highly customer oriented. Must have excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills. Must be proficient in basic computing and Microsoft Office Suite. The position holder must be able to draft polished anderror-free written correspondence with strong attention to detail. Must have proven ability to contribute to teams. Must have familiarity withdifferent techniques to prepare photos including basic knowledge of still photography and videography. Basic knowledge of photographysoftware (e.g. Photoshop, Fotolusio etc), editing and printing photos is required. Skills and abilities may be tested.
