Job Description: Job Description and Major responsibility

Position title:   Community Physical Infrastructure CPI Coordinator   

The CPI coordinator will be Working with Senior Program Manager and will keep close coordination with heads of departments. He/she will ensure proper coordination with different stakeholders, especially in emergency contexts and development as well and will lead the CPI unit.

Major Responsibility / Job Description:

  • Managing the planning, designing, and execution stages of physical infrastructure and development work and projects.
  • Performing due diligence on the impact and feasibility of new construction sites.
  • Overseeing all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs.
  • Lead/ supervise the CPI team
  • Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades.
  • Develop BOQ, Designing and recommending improvements to computer-aided design (CAD) software drawings and schematics.
  • Performing cost estimations and preparing project budgets.
  • Preparing work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising junior engineers, construction managers, workers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensuring that physical infrastructure /civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Inspecting completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Documenting processes and presenting project progress updates to line managers.
  • Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that construction meets specifications
  • Supervise the construction work and provide technical support to the engineering staff.
  • Monitoring construction progress to ensure safe conditions for workers and quality workmanship
  • Shall be capable of analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, and other Topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
  • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
  • Inspection and monitoring of concrete work like footing, columns, Beams, lintels, slabs and form works and block works done by contractors.
  • Supervising the execution as per drawing & schedule in the site and billing the same.
  • Planning and arrangement of the required resources for the execution of the project.
  • Maintaining access to the latest revision of all contract documents, drawings, specifications, and standards, required for quality assurance, quality control, and inspection.
  • Coordinate with the engineer, and project team to resolve technical issues that arise during the project execution.
  • Provide sufficient feedback to Site-Construction staff on the day-to-day site work issues and take necessary action with his guidance.

 

  • Supervise construction, operations, and maintenance activities at the project site and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Support proposals team to estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Participate in project meetings with customers, architects, sub-contractors, and customer-nominated engineering personnel.

Qualification and Competencies

  • BSC / BS civil, BS/B Tech civil
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in the NGOs sector
  • Skills in Auto CAD, drawing
  • Excellent Monitoring/Reporting & Computer skills.
  • Willingness to work and travel in hard areas.

 

Salary

The salary range is up to PKR 80000- 90000
