Relevant Qualification & Experience:

  • At least 2-5 years of relevant working experience in managing humanitarian projects in INGOs/NGOs
  • Master’s in social studies, Sociology, Anthropology, and/or any other relevant fields
  • Experience in family planning and reproductive health will be an added advantage
  • Good report writing and analytical skills
  • Willing to travel in the field and ready to work with diversified communities including children, youth, women while maintaining high organizational values and principles 

Job Description:

Scope and Objectives

District Coordinator function established by the management of the organization to Implement the Sungi Development Foundations programs through technical inputs related to Reproductive Health and Family Planning and direct implementation of project in Sheikhupura District. Being the District Coordinator at SDF, he/she will implement all our project activities in the district Sheikhupura. In addition, he/she will be responsible for promoting a positive public image of our organization. The potential candidate must have family planning and reproductive health-related experience. 

Reporting Lines

The position reports to the Program Manager for all administrative, managerial and planning matters. 

Roles and Responsibilities

District Coordinator is responsible to Implement the Sungi Development Foundations programs through technical inputs related to Reproductive Health and Family Planning and direct implementation of project. 

The key responsibilities: 

  • The Work closely with Program Manager to coordinate and facilitate smooth implementation of the project
  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans, and conduct monthly meetings with partner organizations and line departments to ensure timely monthly reporting from the field.
  • Maintains coordination and supports the program team in building and maintaining coordination with relevant public sector departments and partners for the smooth execution of interventions in the district 
  • Develop and strengthen coordination and relationship with key stakeholders at the district level 
  • Maintain a record of field teams and their activities
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits of UCs
  • Ensure timely preparation and implementation of planned activities.
  • Work closely with the partner NGO, CBOs, and community groups in the district
  • Establish FP/RH referral network liaison with the relevant health department and Family health centers, Private Service Providers
  • Document meeting minutes and events reports for both internal and external forums
  • Update project work plans and submit monthly reports to the supervisor and other relevant team members
  • Supervise, prepare and conduct training for Community mobilizers, and family planning change agents/ volunteers in reproductive health, family planning, adolescent and women’s health and other related topics.
  • Prepare and conduct training in health counseling, facilitation and group discussion techniques, promoting dialogue, confidentiality for facilitators, community leaders, women group members, private HCPs etc.
  • Strengthen and support the FP/RH coordination committee’s activities at each tehsil and UC.
  • Track progress of the overall project to ensure timely implementation of activities
  • Communicate directly with PM to ensure progress against M&E indicators
  • Facilitate collaboration with District Health Officer, local health facilities, LHS and LHW teams and other key health staff for the provision of quality services.
