National NGO with the funding support of WaterAid Pakistan (WAP) is planning to implement the project “Universal WASH Access Model Mohmand, Pakistan” term to the acquisition of project NOC from concern Government Authorities. The Project is focused on WASH contextual Analysis/Studies within Mohmand with the purpose to design Universal WASH Access Program for District Mohmand after this initial Project. The Project will also deliver the main services including, Construction/Repair of Communal Drinking Water Supply Schemes, Improvement of WASH services (water, sanitation etc) in Schools (at least two girls schools), Health and Hygiene sessions in community and schools and formation of WASH Committees and School Hygiene clubs for sustainability, Community Mobilization through Pakistan Approach for Total Sanitation (PATS) approach.
Hygiene Promoters/ Community Mobilizers

Contract Duration: 4 months (Extendable termed to fund availability)
Condition: If Project NOC is timely granted by the concern government Authorities
Job Description
- Responsible for the overall community mobilization and adopting a strong mobilizations strategy
- All the activities should be performed according to the standard procedures of the organization and donor.
- Develop and maintain the necessary documentation and record of all project and organization activities.
- Develop & implement monthly, quarterly work plans and develop reports.
- Assist the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in all required data collection.
- Keep close coordination with Project Manager.
- Responsible for all field level distribution and its proper record keeping.
- Keeping close coordination with community, Education department, teachers (Male/Female), religious leaders and community leaders.
- Responsible for mobilization sessions and meetings/seminars during project life.
- Conduction of Pre and Post KAP Survey. Formation of Committees.
- Responsible for broad base community meeting, in the said meeting space, identification of target group and validation.
- Responsible for the submission of report to the supervisor within all contexts
- Ensure quality pictures and attendance list of the community members, students and teachers who participated in the events. Exchange ideas and experiences with management and other team members.
- Ensure cordial relation with all team members.
- Conduct Focal Group Discussions (FGDs) in the targeted area to find out the conflicts and resolving them.
- Seek guidance from Supervisor in case of any problem in the assigned work.
- Arrange hygiene promotion sessions with the local communities and conduct sessions with the help of given material, visuals and practical based lectures against risky behavior.
- To conduct hygiene sessions in the communities as well as in targeted schools.
- To train local communities how to adopt preventive measures and avoid risky behavior to avoid water borne diseases.
- Conduct CLTS/PATS triggering exercises with all the necessary steps of PRA exercises, transect walk, triggering, Community Action planning for open defecation free village status.
- Responsible for distribution of hygiene kit in local community.
- Conduction health and hygiene session in the targeted community.
- To seek guidance from Supervisor/ Program Manager in case of any problem in the assigned work.
- To perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
- Masters in Social Sciences, Education or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 2-5 years’ experience in WASH, health, education and livelihood projects with NGOs/INGOs.
- Preference will be given to local qualified staff if available
Skills:
- Has evident skills in Community mobilization Hygiene promotion, and understand the local context.
- Know how about CLTS/PATS approaches
- Fluency in local language with good written English language skill in report writing.
- Can engage with communities for hygiene promotion amongst local Men and Women to achieve the project objectives and sustainability.
- Can work in diverse situations of merged districts.
- Computer skill (MS Office).
