Job summary:

The job will involve a large amount of clinical activities and field visit once a week. The Lady Health Visitor will handle baby deliveries, Family planning, examining ANC/PNC and nutritional assessment. She will develop a thorough overall knowledge and understanding of the projects/programs, so as to be familiar with Organization implementing strategies and therefore she can effectively report on them.

Relevant Experience:

For the post of Lady Health Visitor a Nursing/Lady Health Visitors/Health Tech diploma, Community Midwife (CMW) from a recognized institution and having three year experience is considered necessary.

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Running daily clinics in association with Female Medical Officer  and Medical Technician at THQ level to handle and assist in the following activities:

  • Patient examining and taking history especially antenatal and postnatal women and providing them antenatal card
  • Carry out nutritional assessment of women and children and refer sewer malnourished children and women to other organizations/department for further treatment/food supplement and keep proper record.
  • Handle/mange baby deliveries under supervision of Lady doctor referred
  • Health education and councilling  to woman, either individually or in groups at clinic and at field level with focus to family planning, danger sign during pregnancy, ANC/PNC , breastfeeding, balance/weaning diet.
  • Giving injection, dressing and immunizations to woman and other patients.
  • Regular field visits (once a week) as required for health education session and facilitation to HMC members and patients with focus to of malnourished children, antenatal and postnatal cases and giving health talks.
  • Keeping the health unit’s birth registers, ANC/PNC, FP, OPD, PWDs and GBV.
  • Provide and submit weekly reports of the activities/patients (general, antenatal, malnourished children, FP, ANC, PNC, Baby Deliveries, and DNC) to the office.
  • Responsible to the Health Unit’s female medical officer for day-to-day clinical and medical activities and work assignments, including international health Days.
  • Participate in free medical camps organized at field level
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly review and planning meetings
  • Coordinate with other team members of CWSA, NGOs and line department as and when required.
  • any thematic task assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
