Position Summary:
M&E Assistant has to monitor all emergency food assistance activities according to HAP policies and procedures, and Donor regulations while stored at warehouse, transporting to and from warehouse/distribution points including beneficiary satisfaction and reporting of the food commodities are efficiently maintained. This role requires frequent travel to field locations.
Job Description:
- Assist MEAL Officer to prepare monthly commodity distribution plans and delivery schedules in close coordination with the Distribution Officer.
- Verify daily updated data from warehouse i.e.; commodity receiving and dispatch information.
- Monitor that information concerning food distribution schedules are disseminated well in advance to the relevant beneficiary.
- Monitor that all equipment & materials are available at the distribution points.
- Assist and monitor that appropriate distribution of commodities to eligible recipients/beneficiaries according to the approved distribution plan and as per agreed ration size and standard as approved by the donors.
- Randomly monitor the distributed commodities with beneficiaries after received from the distribution points at and/or around the distribution point and at their house; properly document the result and immediately report directly to Project Coordinator.
- Monitor that all non-distributed commodities at the end of the distribution period are documented and returned to the warehouse, accompanied with a waybill.
- Assist in Post Distribution Monitoring with beneficiaries as per HAP MEAL Guidelines
- Conduct frequent field visits for monitoring.
- Assist in collection of Beneficiary complaint response mechanism data.
- Take lead on entering beneficiaries’ data in the program database.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of total experience and having minimum 1 years of sector (MEAL) experience.
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
- Excellent skills on computer operation, especially on MS Word & Microsoft Excel
- Community mobilization skills.
- Problem solving ability.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage
