Job Title:                    Project Manager E-Commerce Platform

Employment Type:   Contractual

Reports To:               National Coordinator / Chief Executive

Duty Station:             ASF Head Office, Islamabad, Pakistan (with some travel to sites)

Age Limit:                  45 years

Job Summary & Specific Responsibilities:

ASF is in the process of developing an E-Commerce platform to provide digital Agri-services to smallholder farmers and Farmer Organizations. This program is expected to be completed in phases thereby its functionality will be scaled up based on the learnings achieved through establishing a minimum viable “Proof of concept pilot” which will also allow for incorporation of learnings that will help ensure seamless adoption and implementation. In order to manage this process, ASF requires services of qualified and experienced professional.

Job Summary:

The role of Project Manager E-Commerce is to supervise and operate ASF’s E-Commerce Platform through implementation of best practices. This includes Homepage and Sitemap, (Dev. of Internal pages & Integrations, GO-LIVE, post live audit & training, and Post-live activities & training of Farmer Organizations. The Project Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the change management of processes required in support of implementation of E-Commerce Platform. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment of E-Commerce Platform and underlying systems and procedures. The Project Manager will be the focal person within ASF for interaction with contracted vendor.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with vendor and ASF in creating an Ecommerce platform for Farmer Organization groups and provide them with an Ecommerce platform where they can collectively market their produce or services while managing collective procurement of inputs and collective sale of marketable produce through collective order placement, payment, and delivery. 
  • Manage all the necessary integrations for payment and delivery and hardware solutions. Managing 2-way communications between farmers and customers and a feedback gathering mechanism through email and SMS.
  • Coordinate with vendor in E-Commerce development phase that includes: web portal research and information gathering, information design, sitemap and process flow development, home page / sub page development, form template designs, social / digital media planning & integration, API integration for admin panel, payment gateway, logistics and admin etc, pre live audit, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendor in Testing phase that includes: Post live audit, mobile fixation and testing, User Acceptance training, feed back debugging, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendor in Training phase that includes: Training farmer organizations and capacity building, developing success stories, developing use case strategies for scale up activity in Phase 2 on the feedback of this activity.

 

Requirements:

Education & Certification

  • Master’s or 4-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university; preferably with a major in computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be considered a plus.

Specific Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 6 to 8 years’ direct experience of administering E-Commerce applications, out of which 3 years’ experience should be in a similar supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of E-Commerce solutions.
  • Proven experience in preparing training material and presenting training and orientations professionally.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software and relevant E-Commerce solutions.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Strong network within the IT industry for potential partnerships development
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
