Know our team

Nutrition International’s Operations unit is a dedicated team of program implementation experts who are responsible for contributing to the overall management of NI’s field operations in Asia and Africa. This position will report to Country Director, Pakistan which is responsible to design, plan, manage, monitor and report on all aspects of large scale community based maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition programs with intervention focus being:  improving antenatal care including iron and folic acid supplementation coverage and adherence, clean delivery, delayed cord clamping, promotion and protection of early and exclusive  breast feeding and infant and young child nutrition.

About you

You are a mid-level public health professional and nutrition expert with extensive experience in program management or have held such roles in the past and have experience in working with Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition in managing and implementing multiple projects to ensure high quality programming in Pakistan, being located in Islamabad. You have an excellent ability to develop internal and external partnerships and have collaborated with NGOs, UN agencies etc. or similar organizations working on public health and nutrition related programs.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible to support the Country Director with the following:

  • Project development and planning for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and  Nutrition and Adolescent Health and Nutrition;
  • Advocacy and liaison with the government and relevant organizations;
  • Support in designing training curriculum and conducting trainings at various levels to ensure quality;
  • Liaise with the directors of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition programs  at departments of Health at provincial level and national level to ensure streamlining supply of IFA supplements for pregnant and lactating women in the project focus districts.
  • Support in the design of the BCI strategy and interventions and development of BCI products for creating awareness.
  • Implementing partners and contract management.
  • Leading provincial and district teams to ensure program deliverables.
  • Support periodic data collection and validation for monitoring and reporting.
  • Field level monitoring and supportive supervision for field team.
