HelpAge International in Pakistan

HelpAge International has been working in Pakistan for close to two decades through partners and an established country office since 2010. HelpAge has been actively involved in humanitarian and development projects. HelpAge has supported thousands of older people, their families and communities through our development programs including Livelihoods, Health, Disaster Risk Reduction and Advocacy for the protection of the rights of older people.

 Project Background

HelpAge International in Pakistan with support from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany and HelpAge Germany has launched a 3-year long project in Sindh for promotion of the rights of older people.

The objective of the proposed project is to facilitate implementation and monitoring of the Senior Citizens Act in Sindh province.

The relevant government ministries and departments will be provided with technical assistance to set up the appropriate mechanisms to implement and monitor the Act. Simultaneously, the project aims at sensitizing and building the capacity of older women and men, human rights organizations, and media in Sindh province.

Key Activities

  • Sensitization of stakeholders on the rights of older men and women and Senior Citizen Act
  • Learnings sharing workshops and ongoing sharing through online sessions with Sindh province where the act is passed
  • Development of monitoring system for the implementation of Senior citizen Act
  • Technical support to line departments to roll out the implementation of the activities proposed in the Act
  • Training and sensitization of media
  • Campaigns for the rights of older women and men and Senior Citizen Act
  • Networking with Human rights organizations on rights of older women and men
  • Capacity building of Older People Associations
  • Sindh COVID Response

Documentary

We are looking to hire services of reputable firms to develop video clips of ongoing project activities and later compile these to develop a documentary.

Expectation from the Firms

  • Develop video clips of ongoing project activities.
  • Work in close coordination with HelpAge International to develop a script and flow of the documentary.
  • To travel to the project location (i.e. Karachi, Shikarpur and Jacobabad).
  • At least 08 visits (One visit will be maximum of 01 days) to project locations to capture videos of different activities.
  • Project activities are ongoing from January 2019 to August 2021.
  • Compile a video documentary.

 Deliverables

  • Raw footages
  • Video clips of project activities
  • High-definition video documentary of 8-10 minutes, including voice over in English (British accent) and subtitles.
  • 100 High quality Photos.

Expectation from HelpAge International

  • To brief the documentary team on the complete project.
  • Provide all the required information.
  • Arrange the meetings of the documentary team with the beneficiaries.

Time Frame

  • All deliverables must be completed by September 2021.

Logistics

All the logistics arrangements will be bear by the respective firms.
