This is an exciting opportunity for a highly proactive, experienced professional seeking to join a dynamic team to lead the organization’s resource mobilization efforts. The incumbent will be responsible to lead the partnerships and programme design unit, responsible for cultivating external collaborations with bi-lateral donors, trusts and foundations, and the private sector to create new funding opportunities for development programmes aimed at poverty alleviation in Pakistan.  The role requires proactively networking with external stakeholders. S/he will conduct prospect research on donor agencies and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and donor grants The GM will take the lead in facilitating inclusive processes for co-creating innovative programme proposals and new partnerships working closely with the innovations team and other internal staff and external investors. A core responsibility will be to lead the development of high-quality proposals and concept notes based on the organization’s strategy, approach and alignment to donor requirements. 

Knowledge management will be expected from this position as  s/he will be the custodian of documentation of institutional knowledge and program activities in coordination with relevant programme specialists. He/she will have to prioritize projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals.

 

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have at least 16 years of education or Master’s degree Social Sciences and relevant disciplines / Project Management / Business Administration / Public Administration or relevant discipline from a HEC recognized national or international institution.
  • The person will have minimum 10 years of experience in professional writing including successful proposals to institutional donors, grant writing or other technical writing experience.
  • Successful track record of winning donor-funded proposals in competitive bidding (e.g., commercial contracts) or competitive grant application processes worth over $1million.
  • At least 03 years’ experience in leading teams is essentially required.
  • Demonstrated experience in using online databases and other sources to locate biographical, financial, and relevant information.
  • The ability to seek and synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct form. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a highly organized individual.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills to swift through funding opportunities and analyze information, understand calls for proposal and TORs and present these in a coherent and succinct form.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with external stakeholders.
  • Strong management skills to organize, train and oversee the work of the team for efficient and effective delivery of results.
  • He/she shall have the ability to manage professional relationships efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to think strategically and a result-oriented individual with good decision making analytical and problem-solving skills.
