Lab Technician

Major Responsibilities:

• Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of the organization
• To support in maintaining Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) as set by Government of Pakistan for field health unit
• Receive, label and analyze samples
• Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
• Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypothesis using refined scientific methods
• Organize and store all chemical substances according to safety instructions
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
• Maintain equipment and assisst in ordering laboratory supplies
• To ensure lab tests and procedures are performed as per MSDS
• Offer services to all age, gender, religious groups of people
• Compile and ensure timely submission of daily/monthly reports and records
• May require to perform other related duties assigned by supervisor as per organization set standards and procedures

Job Requirements: 

a)   Education:

• Diploma in Lab Technology or equivalent

b)  Work Experience:

• Minimum 02 years of working experience in hospital set up, with good Lab knowledge and skills

c)  Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: 

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Must have knowledge of Computer operation and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

d)  Language Skills: 

• Urdu, Pashto and English
