COVID-19 Testing at health facilities:

HelpAge has supported thousands of older people, their families and communities through our development programs including Livelihoods, Health, Disaster Risk Reduction and Advocacy for the protection of the rights of older people.
HelpAge International is Implementing and ECHO Funded project, ECHO/AS/BUD/2020/91013, on Strengthening Government Sector health System and Providing Immediate Emergency Response to Curtail Outbreak of Covid-19 Across Pakistan in Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provinces.
The ToRs for COVID19 testing at health facilities are as under:
- HAI will support 06 health facilities at Ghotki and Khairpur for COVID19 testing for three months. Health Facilities are:

- The service provider will conduct PCR tests on DRAP recommended test kits.
- The service provider will collect samples from mentioned health facilities on daily basis.
- Health facility incharge will refer suspected COVID19 patient for COVID19 PCR test. The information of referred cases will be shared with HAI staff.
- The Service provider and Health facility incharge will set a time for sample collection and result submission. The information will be shared with HAI staff.
- The service provider will maintain all protocols recommended by DRAP/Ministry of health/National Institute of Health, GoP for sample collection, handling and testing.
- The offered price will include all costs including transport, sample collection, PCR test and submission of result. HAI will not pay any additional or related cost separately.
