Microbiology Technologist

Job Description: 

• Inoculation of cultures
• Incubation of culture plates in incubator
• Keep samples in discarding racks for 24 hours.
• Correlation of pus cells
• Reading of sensitivity and performance of biochemical tests.
• Microscopy of wet smears and gram staining when required
• Register and MIS entry of reports and verification
• Blood C/S Preliminary reports and sub cultures.
• Reading of all new C/S plates
• Perform sensitivity and biochemical tests
• Inoculation of water culture
• Reading of water culture results, their register and MIS entry
• MIS result entry of final reports of blood cultures
• Check lists the remaining cultures in MIS.

• Receiving and responding calls in section

• Maintenance of media stock (Plates and biochemical)
• Preparation of chocolate media
• Demand of relative antibiotics
• Any other task assigned by the concerned operational head.
• Waste handling.
• Respond to quires generated by microbiologist/pathologist/patients
• TAT Monitoring.
• Demand and inventory check.

Relevant Experience: 03 years of relevant experience in a diagnostic laboratory
