Job Description:


Our ideal candidate has experience as a mortgage banker or in Housing Finance, ideally having strong on-the-ground experience having worked their way up through the ranks, and are ready for a new challenge in a C-level role. This candidate will have overseen significant growth in current or prior roles, and have a demonstrated ability to lead teams to be effective and efficient while bringing out the best in every teammate. Must have strong leadership skills, a creative and strategic mindset, excellent communication skills & an ability to articulate the vision & implementation strategy for new products and directions the broader management is interested in pursuing. 

In addition to this, candidates with Specialized knowledge on Housing Finance & Construction Sector market, with a strong network across various participants (estate agents, brokers, conveyancing legal firms, land authorities & other public institutions) will be preferred. 

About this role: 

  • Be an integral part of the executive team, setting and driving vision, mission, values, strategy and operational execution 
  • Develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes designed. Evaluate and improve internal process performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics & realize operational efficiencies. Where appropriate, evaluate opportunities to outsource or insource business processes 
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met  
  • Budgeting & Financial management for all product types, processes to improve product & cost efficiency  
  • Motivate and lead high performing teams and team leaders through a coaching-style of leadership so that we enjoy high employee retention and engagement 
  • Adhere to company, federal, provincial, and local property requirements, enforcing compliance, and taking action when necessary. Analyze internal operations and identify areas of improvement 
  • Directly oversee operations and information systems/technology personnel to ensure the correct mix of technology and traditional checks in a digitally-driven cost-effective environment 
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, service providers, and internal stakeholders (sales, marketing). Supply chain with our Channel Partners & Vendor management with non-channel partners will be an integral part of this role 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field 
  • 30+ years experience in senior level or executive leadership positions 
  • Strong leadership & communication skills to drive overall Operational Agenda 
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues 
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics used in core retail banking & on the lending side 
  • Experience in launching & sustaining businesses in new cities, districts or regions for a variety of product types
