Shirakat – Partnership for Development, a national non-governmental organization working on gender equality and social justice.

We are looking for highly motivated and qualified Project Assistants for a project to be implemented in Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Layyah. Project duration is 18 month.

1. Major Responsibilities:

  • Support to project planning and implementation
  • Manage and regularly update project measurement tools including, but not limited to spreadsheets, presentations, project progress tracking and narrative reporting.
  • Assist in development and implementation of monthly work plan and reports
  • Maintain records in accordance with program protocols and guidelines
  • Facilitate monitoring of project activities in the field
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation of the project’s progress
  • Prepare blogs, press briefings and other relevant material to be shared with the stakeholders.
  • Responsible to collect updated information from government, NGOs, donor and relevant stakeholders in order to fulfill the coordination or operational duties of the project
  • Work with government and local authorities, leaders, individuals and groups to implement activities of the project
  • Assist the implementation teams in the operational procedures: travel authorization, request for perdiem, justification of funds
  • Establish contact with appropriate partner agencies when basic or special needs be identified.
  • Undertake duty travels as required
  • Reviewing of supporting documents and bills
  • Preparation of requests for filed activities
  • Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor

 2. Qualifications:   

The following are the requirement for this position:

  • MA / MSc (preferably Master’s in social sciences).
  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in any well-reputed organization in: a) community mobilization; b) micro-entrepreneurship development; c) government linkages building; and d) sustainable livelihoods
  • Computer Literate with Good command on MS Office.
  • For both the locations Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Layyah local residents will be preferred.

 3. Personal Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skill,
  • Good command of written and spoken Urdu and English.
  • Punjabi speaking will be preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines,
  • Team player and problem-solving skill,
  • Ability to work under pressure and gender sensitive,
  • Honest and competent.
