Qualification: The successful candidate will be a graduate of an international or national recognised university, or in lieu thereof have professional qualifications relevant to the management and control of large commercial organization. Expereince in and familiarity with the educational business is preferred.

Effective Leadership: First class management experience, Confortable operating at the board level, with the exceptional communication and people skills and proven ability to provide inspirational leadership at all level for energizing the organization.

Strong Intellect: Analytical, Intellectually rebust, Commercially astute and able to develop clear strategic option with focus on delivery.

Job Responsibilities:  

An eminent person with sound reputation and proven management skills of handling a large organization / institution shall be appointed as Administrator of HITEC by the Chairman HIT on recommendations of the HITEWT office on terms and conditions.

(1)            Shall be the Chief Executive Officer of HITEC S&C and shall be responsible for the implementation of the decisions of Director HITEWT.

(2)             Shall execute all programmes in accordance with the guidelines and policies formulated HITEWT.

(3)             Shall cause the Academic, Administrative and Financial summaries / briefs to be initiated and completed on the basis of this constitution and the policies and guidelines formulated by HITEWT.

(4)             Shall cause the policy documents to be modified / updated as directed by Director HITEWT and from time to time he may himself recommend to the Chairman HIT through Director HITEWT.

(5)             He may, in an emergency, which in his opinion requires immediate action, take such actions as he may consider necessary and shall, thereafter, as soon as possible, report his action to the officer, authority or body which in the ordinary course would have dealt with the matter.

(6)             Will recommend to the Director HITEWT the persons to be appointed (along with terms and conditions) as Directors, Principals, Vice Principals, Head of Schools, Heads of Departments of Colleges and Institutions, OICs and Managers.

(7)             Will be the President of the Academic Council.

(8)             Will approve the appointments / termination / premature retirement of all officers in consultation with HITEWT.

(9)             Will recommend to the Director HITEWT the removal of Director / Principal along with reasons to be submitted in writing.

(10)         Regulate the activities changed or substituted with the planning and / or execution of programmes for administrative, academic, co-curricular, curricular activities at the campus.

(11)         Create and fill temporary / regular posts of appointments as given in the Organogram.

(12)         Submit to the HITEWT in accordance with the rules of procedure, reports on the activities of HITEC and the execution of plans of work.

(13)         Direct officers and staff of HITEC to take up such assignments in connection with any bona-fide activity of HITEC as he may deem necessary.

(14)         Delegate, subject to such conditions, if any, as may be prescribed, any of his powers under this constitution to an officer of HITEC.

(15)         Exercise and perform such other powers and functions as may be prescribed.

(16)         Supervise the working of all Principals of institutions and Directors and they will report to him, seek policy approvals / decisions from him and comply with his instructions.

(17)         Write ACRs of respective staff of Institutions.

(18)         Be the final authority for approving admissions and giving disciplinary awards to students and staff which may be referred for review through a request / petition to HITEWT / or Chairman HIT through proper channel.

(19)         Exercise academic and administrative control over the institutions, ensuring conducive atmosphere and efficient functioning. In this connection, he/she shall have powers to order admissions, discharge or withdrawal of students in consultation with the HITEC academic council in accordance with the policy / SOP on the subject. He will be accountable to the HITEWT and Chairman HIT in this regard.

(20)         Be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and shall submit it to the HITEWT / Chairman HIT for consideration and approval.

(21)         Any other task assigned by the Director HITEWT/Chairman HIT.
