Role Outline

HR Specialist is responsible for creating a productive and gender equitable work environment looking after the overall HRD/HRM function of the organization. The HR Specialist provides overall support to the main office as well as to regional/project offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide all HR processes including recruitment, payroll, performance management, staff career development, internship program and compliance with organization rules and procedures. 
  • Further improve HR Department and equip it to deal with current and future requirements of the organization.
  • Revise refine the HR strategy in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement a Human Resource Integrated Management Plan (HRIMP) for organization.
  • Ensure the implementation of organization Human Resource Development Plan.
  • Update and maintain organizational HR policies and procedures as and when required.
  • Ensuring timely compliance of the organization’s Performance Management system.
  • Design, develop, coordinate, implement, deliver, and evaluate training programs that support organization’s objectives and plan.
  •  Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensure efficient coordination with project-based HR focal persons and oversee compliance of organization policies and procedures related to HR.
  • Effectively manage all grievance and disciplinary issues ensuring that policies and procedures are duly followed.
  • Identify and propose a creative reward system in keeping with organization priorities and department objectives.
  • Provide coaching, facilitation, team development and organization development services to implement organization improvement initiatives and assure alignment with the organization’s strategic plans.
  • Develop and implement the organization’s succession plan.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the HR Department.

Required Skill Set:

  • Master’s in HR/ Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized university.
  • At least 04 years of in Human Resource Management.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
  • Experience of working with international development agencies/UN preferred.
  • Result-oriented team player and leader.
  • Well versed in MIS/IT and social media.
