Purpose:             

To conduced refresh trainings of Steering Committees members to refresh and strengthen their capacities in to describe their roles and responsibilities, leader ship, record management and sustainability of this community based structure even after phasing out of project activities

Introduction - Every Voice Counts (EVC):

 

Organization is implementing the “Every Voice Counts” project in Umerkot and Mirpurkhas districts of Sindh. The Project aims to include community’s involvement in local Government and create a favorable environment for implementation of Government’s policies.  The project in lines with Government of Pakistan’s commitments on SDGs and intervention are directly linked to vision 2025 of Government of Pakistan. It aims Socio economic uplift of the families and focus on community’s wellbeing through supporting both men and women with better life skills, communication, confidence and enhanced economic status. The intervention also aims to add value to above mentioned progressive steps by government and to support government in implementation of laws and policies relevant to wellbeing of men and women.

 

 

 

Objectives: The consultant is expected to:

 

Designed training contents, conduct 11 trainings of Steering Committees and produce comprehensive training reports, each training will be of 1 day long while covering following key topics;

 

  • Roles and responsibilities of Steering Committee members
  • Leadership skill and transformational leadership
  • Understanding of women participation  in decision making
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Importance of Participatory approach in local development
  • Record keeping
  • Understand the gender, culture, power and power dynamics
  • How to establish effective productive linkages with Government and civil society Organization for the Socio Economic Issues and challenges at Community
  • Sustainability of Steering Committee
  • Produce comprehensive report on the completion of all 11 training highlighting the training objectives, contents, training methodology, main conclusions and recommendations.

To achieve the aim and objectives agreed above, Organization will:

 

  • Provide the Resource Person with the basic information about Participants, and other relevant information.
  • Provide the continuous guidance and support in conducting trainings..
  • Assign a focal person to coordinate with trainer/focal perosn throughout the assignment (Ms.Kiran Bashir Project Manager will be focal person)
  • Process payment on completion of assignment

 

As Consultant,

 

He/she should be

  1. Expert knowledge and practical experience of conducting such training.
  2. Strong communication, Facilitation  and interpersonal skills especially
  3. Familiar with local culture and norms
  4. Fluency in Sindhi/ Dhatki languages. Locals will be preferred.
  5. Excellent report writing skills.
  6. Well-informed about policies and laws related to women empowerment
