CARE International in Pakistan is recruiting a Project Manager for an anticipated project which will focus on women entrepreneurs and provide them a platform to gain training, mentoring, access to capital, and international exposure. 

In collaboration with the Country Leadership Team, the Project Manager will be responsible for overall financial and technical management of the Accelerator Program for Women Entrepreneurs. Key duties of the incumbent will be as follows:

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful execution of all aspects of the project, including compliance with the donor rules and project cycle management guidelines;
  • Lead outreach / selection processes to engage potential Women Entrepreneurs;
  • Lead award / procurement processes to recruit STTAs, as may be required, to contribute to the design, development and delivery of new programs and services;
  • Establish criteria and manage team to deliver specific work as per agreed project design;
  • Manage relationships with internal team and external stakeholders and performance relative to deliverables;
  • Manage the project schedule, timelines, and milestones, carefully monitoring all aspects of the project, and coordinating the work and contributions of partners / consultants;
  • Engage other staff members as appropriate;
  • Contribute to and oversee the development and delivery of various programs initiatives, such as services to Women Entrepreneurs, including incubation and acceleration, mentorship, training, workshops, events, and those being delivered by consultants;
  • Research and promote linkages / develop relationship with other programs in country;
  • Establish policies and procedures, disseminate information, and coordinate project activities;
  • Organize meetings; implement effective communication strategies amongst partners and contractors, and compile, process and synthesize data, ensuring high quality donor reports and that information is accessible to all parties;
  • Compile and analyze evaluative data to monitor program effectiveness;
  • Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the project.

Required Qualifications: 

  • University degree combined with seven years of relevant experience providing project management leadership, including the development of project management tools and platforms and responsibility for budgeting and financial management; delivery of work plans, stakeholder relations, data collection, analysis and reporting; and ideally including the development and delivery of programs and services to entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses;
  • Broad knowledge of, and practical experience addressing and resolving, issues and concerns of women entrepreneurs including those who are from underrepresented groups and those who are working in tech and non-tech sectors;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing robust communications and outreach strategies, including social media strategies and building and management of websites and social media platforms;
  • Familiarity with best practices in diversity and inclusion strategies, systems, policies, etc.;
  • Ability to travel within the country and globally;
  • Knowledge of relevant government programs and services that support entrepreneurs and Women Entrepreneurs;
  • Experience as an entrepreneur is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Pakistani cultures, communities and organizations;
  • Ability to speak and communicate in English, Urdu and any other local language.
