The Development Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of product and services related to MPG. This includes ensuring smooth operations of all MPG related software and applications, customizing and developing use cases and functionalities for MPG related services, and fixing software and configuration issues.

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Work on development of new use cases and enhancements to existing system iteratively by building quick POCs. |
|
Analyze the impact of proposed changes and enhancements on operational system. |
|
Perform testing such as unit, user acceptance, integration, system, load & stress. |
|
Work closely with business, technical stakeholders for deployment of new use cases. |
|
Coordinate Continuous Integration activities, testing automation frameworks, and other related items. |
|
Respond to production issues with analysis and remediation in a timely manner. |
|
Perform Software Quality Assurance. |
|
Participate in DR and BCP exercises. |
|
| Education |
Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Electronics or other IT related discipline from HEC recognized domestic or reputable foreign university.
Preference will be given to candidates with software development related certifications.

Maximum 30 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.

| Experience: |
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification industry experience.
|
| Competencies |
|
Strong design and coding skills with SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, mobile (iOS, Android), Oracle SQL Loader, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, P CSS3, and other web application design & development techniques. |
|
Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies. |
|
Knowledge of database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server. |
|
Knowledge of implementing Microservices, API, Web Services and SOA. |
|
Ability to work across a portfolio of clients simultaneously. |
|
Payment processing background is a big plus. |
