Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
Conduct research on topical issues relating to Pakistan’s economy and produce notes/papers in a timely manner on the basis of this research.
Contribute in development of Stochastic Dynamic General Equilibrium Models in consultation with other team members.
Write research papers using strong writing skills to contribute to publications in SBP Research Bulletin, SBP working paper Series and SBP Staff Notes.
Assist in execution of Forecasting and Policy Analysis System (FPAS) for policy simulation.
Contribute to discussions on policy issues and engaging in evidenced based debates.
Deal with references and queries raised by internal and external stakeholders.
 

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Economics or Finance from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university. M.Phil or Ph.D in Economics or Finance will be preferred.

Age:

Maximum 40 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years post qualification relevant experience for 16 years education.

Minimum 2 years post qualification relevant experience for M.Phil.

Competencies:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and command of English language.
Proficiency in the use of economic/econometrics software packages especially MATLAB, Dynare and STATA.
Knowledge of Pakistan’s economy particularly monetary, financial, and external sectors.
Integrity, excellence, and teamwork.
