Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
Supervise and coordinate all the activities to facilitate Monetary Policy formulation, and dissemination of policy decisions and related material.
Update the monetary policy information and its key concepts on the SBP website.
Perform secretariat responsibilities for the Monetary Operations Committee (MOC).
As a member of internal Forecast Review Committee (FC), provide candid feedback on the forecasts of key macroeconomic variables, and the documents analyzing trends and developments.
Supervise the arrangements for and conduct of seminars and orientation sessions for the academia, analysts, journalists and students on formulation, conduct and implementation of monetary policy.
Write/supervise analytical notes and research papers, review and provide feedback on policy notes prepared in the department and serve as focal point to coordinate the posting of policy notes on the SBP’s internal webpage.
Contribute in preparing speeches/presentations/briefs for the senior management.
Write research papers using strong writing skills to contribute to publications in SBP Research Bulletin, SBP working paper Series and SBP Staff Notes.
Facilitate officers in disposing of queries from internal and external stakeholders.
 

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Economics or Finance from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university. M.Phil or PhD in Economics or Finance will be preferred.

Age:

Maximum 45 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.

Experience:
Minimum 8 years post qualification relevant experience for 16 years education.

Minimum 6 years post qualification relevant experience for M.Phil.

Minimum 4 years post qualification relevant experience for Ph.D.
