Background:

Peace & Justice Network (PJN) is a national civil society network consisting of over 50 member and partner organizations registered with SECP under Section 42 working for Social Justice, Rule of Law and Good Governance for Peaceful, Just, Inclusive and Prosperous Pakistan with prime focus on SDGs 16 Plus promotion and implementation, is looking for dynamic and hardworking person with right experience in one of its upcoming program in Punjab with long term commitment:

The program aims to achieve these objectives by creating a more protective and enabling environment for girls, boys, women, youth, religious minorities, the differently-abled and those at risk of exclusion and exploitation by supporting/ strengthening systems and community responses that provide protection from exploitation and prevent discrimination and intolerance at all levels. The program approaches these issues from both the supply side (government/institutions) and demand-side (individual/community).

PJN will work with civil society partner organizations to implement community-based interventions by establishing provincial and district forums in two phases. In the first phase from January 2020 to March 2022 in 13 selected districts of Punjab.


Job Purpose: 

The incumbent will be to establish an advocacy forum, EWS, ERM and facilitate in the Capacity building activities in close coordination with the programme field implementing partners.


Programme Management:

  • Take lead in establishing civil society policy advocacy forums district level
  • Responsible for effective functioning & ensuring the implementation plan of the advocacy forums at the district level  
  • Identify key champion for the higher-level training in programme in leadership, thematic areas, and EWS and ERM.  
  • Establish EWS and ERM and oversight of its smooth functioning at the district level
  • Coordination with project partners in the identification of thematic training topics and facilitate the trainings
  • Identify the community champions and coordinate for their exchange visits
  • Establish the linkages of public service delivery from the district to the community level
  • Ensure timely delivery of the programme activities, keep qualitative and quantities record
  • Identify the capacity building areas of the advocacy forum and play the role of a catalyst between project partners, advocacy forums and provincial team. 
  • Ensure programme compliance and quality control of all programme activities at district, tehsils and village level
  • Any other task assigned by the Provincial lead 


Standard Minimum Qualification:

Education: Advanced University degree (16 years of education) in Social Sciences.  

Experience and specific expertise: At least 5 years of work experience and:

  • Good knowledge of political system 
  • Well versed with the customs and culture of Punjab
  • MS Word, Excel and spreadsheet
  • Team player and willing to extensive travel within Punjab
  • Good knowledge of Pakistan governing system


Language: Fluency in Urdu, Punjabi and Seraiki language and good English writing skills
