  1. Document lessons from the research work and provide technical assistance to RSPN and RSPs in incorporating lessons in the programme. Implement the research component of the SUCCESS Programme. This component includes: (a) a multi-year Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) based research designed to quantify the impact of the programme on access to information and services, and civic engagement; women empowerment; economic welfare; and social cohesion, (b) Identify, design and implement various need based policy and practice research on issues emerging from the porogramme implementation in the field and (c) provide technical input in designing and finalising sectoral assessment studies to be conducted by the programme through outsourcing.
  2. Lead data analysis, and writing the research reports, research and policy briefs.
  3. Based on the research work, publish articles, blogs and research papers in international and national journal of repute.
  4. Undertake the desk reviews of the similar natures of the research projects, development practices, conceive and design action research studies that feed into improvement in the SUCCESS programme implementation.
  5. Maintain close liaison and cooperate with the Research Technical Advisors of SUCCESS RSPN
  6. Prepare, implement and report against annual work plan for the research component
  7. Coordinate with National and International Universities to engage researcher, faculty members for collaborative research on topics of mutual interest to RSPN and Rural Support Programmes under the SUCCESS Programme.
  8. Lead and build the capacity of 2 field researches towards achievement of research outcomes.
  9. Undertake field visits to the research sites to ensure the quality assurance in data collection and adherence to ethical consideration.
  10. Develop and implement an effective research dissemination strategy (dissemination events, publication in newspapers, talks in conferences, research forum etc). 
  11. Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor. 



Education
Must Degree Degree Level Country Description
 Masters Degree Masters or higher degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Research or other relevant disciplines from a recognised university. PhD in the relevant field will be preferred.

Skills
Must Title Level Description
  Good  Knowledge and understanding of poverty dynamics, women empowerment and development issues in Pakistan; Skills in development of quantitative and qualitative research tools, research protocols and training of research staff; Skills in data analysis (qualitative and quantitative), and writing research papers and briefs; Skills in managing research dissemination; Proficient in the use of any of the statistical software package STATA/R/SPSS & Nvivo; Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Urdu. Speaking Sindhi will be an advantage; Be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated with high level of initiative, team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
