Introduction:
Secours Islamique France (SIF) founded in 1991 is an international Non-Governmental solidarity Organization acting in the fields of humanitarian and development aid, in France and worldwide. Working in the field for over 20 years, Secours Islamique France is now active in more than twenty countries, mainly in different sectors: water and sanitation, food security& livelihoods, and child welfare. Teams of employees and volunteers working for Secours Islamique France also play an active role in France, fighting against exclusion and insecurity by various means. Alongside its operational aid activities, Secours Islamique France has developed an ability to advocate in order to bear witness and to alert the international community about the living conditions of the most vulnerable. SIF is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poorest of the poor in France and around the world, while respecting cultural diversity without making any distinction based on origins, political affiliations, gender or beliefs, and without expecting anything in return. It intervenes where humanitarian and social needs require emergency mobilization of relief efforts as well as the implementation of development programs and advocacy actions. SIF is present in Pakistan since 2010 and currently working in three districts (Tharparkar in Sindh, Peshawar & FATA in KP and Islamabad/Rawalpindi in Punjab). SIF also implements Seasonal projects in Pakistan every year including activities Ramadan food packs distribution, Qurbani meat distribution, Live Iftar event and Eid Gifts distribution. Currently SIF is implementing “One to One Sponsorship Project” in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and developed annual reports under this project.
SIF intends to avail the services of a consultant to provide French translation for orphans one to one sponsorship reports. The translation is required for annual reporting to SIF donors in France.
Objectives of Consultancy:
- To carry out French language translation of the orphan one to one sponsorship reports for donors on SIF prescribed format.
Criteria for Consultant:
SIF looking for French spoken individual/consultant for translation of orphans’ one to one sponsorship reports in very fluent and expressive French language, the individual or consultant firm with experience on French language translation is required. Individual or Consultant who ishas a 2-3 years teaching experience of French language translation will be given preference.
Deliverables for Consultant:
The following deliverables are expected from consultant/firm:
- Translate the orphans’ one to one orphan sponsorship reports in French language on SIF headquarters prescribed template (3 pages for each child for 266 children).
- Revise the reports as per SIF headquarters if needed.
- Guide SIF team where needed on drafting of the reports and enrichment of the text on the prescribed template.
Timeline:
This is short term assignment with tentative date of engagement from March 15 to April 30,2020. The assignment is based on translation of orphans’ one to one sponsorship reports within the mentioned period for the assignment.
Payment Procedure:
Terms of payment shall be based on one installment and 100% will be paid after successful completion of deliverables.
