POSITION TITLE:             Communication Management Trainee

COUNTRY PROGRAM:       Pakistan

LOCATION:                         Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar

REPORTING TO:                 Provincial Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The main purpose of this position is to support the development of communications material. The incumbent will build marketing and communications skills through hands-on experience with different areas of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a thorough understanding of ALIGHT Communications and branding guidelines.
  • Assist in planning and writing regional Communication content, especially but not limited to newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and human interest stories.
  • Assist in organizing, filming, and documenting events for Communications documentation, for example with post-event reports.
  • Prepare and share event-related materials, including but not limited to event and organization fliers, event documentation, filming, and other marketing material, with Communication Country Office and provincial team.
  • Prepare and maintain an updated regional database of ALIGHT Communication material, including but not limited to artwork, photos, videos, and event-related materials, press releases, and invites.
  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Prepare and maintain an updated regional database of partners, government departments, media outlets, and other contacts.
  • Assist Provincial Manager in day to day administrative work special organizing events and meetings
  • Responsible to note down minutes of the different meetings
  • Other responsibilities as may be reasonably requested.

Qualification and Skills:-

  • Fresh Graduate (Bachelors in Social Sciences, Mass Communications, or any other relevant disciplines)
  • Basic knowledge of graphic designing and design software.
  • Knowledge of using a professional camera is a must.
  • Excellent English and Urdu reading, writing, and verbal skills is a must as well as knowledge of the regional language(s).
  • Management Trainees must be comfortable visiting the field to document human interest stories.
  • The Management Trainee must be web-savvy and conscious of local political and cultural sensitivities.
