We are looking for a dynamic, qualified, well-experienced and dedicated Quantity Surveyor for a Mega Construction Project.

You will be responsible for Planning, Surveying & Costing of the project under the supervision of Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience in all facets of quantity surveying including cost planning, quantity take-off,  estimating, tender and contract documentation.
  • Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work, assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
  • Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.
  • Estimate the quantity and costs of materials.
  • Managing, estimating and cost planning activities.
  • Include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Managing the procurement process.
  • Valuation processes are managed effectively.
  • Accurate and efficient measurement, identification and measurement of variations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers.
  • Keep track of construction materials and inventory.
  • Hire and document contractors and subcontractors.
  • Production and agreement of final accounts and additional cost claims.
  • Collaboration and working as part of a team while working under the direction of PM.
  • Liaison with teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
  • Assist in preparation of necessary documents for contracts close-outs.
  • Ensure responsibilities are fulfilled with a high quality and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Auto CAD/ Drafting Responsibilities.
  • Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.
  • Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications.
  • Prepare shop drawings and diagrams for civil construction.
  • Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision.
  • Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
  • Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • DAE/BE Civil Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience & minimum 02 mega projects work as Quantity Surveyor.

Required Skills

  • Hands on experience with MS Office
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.
  • Experienced in compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills.
  • In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry. Knowledge of computer drafting software, quantity surveying software
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • A two-year diploma in Computer Aided Drafting is an asset.
  • Experience in a CAD Operator role is must.
  • Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program.
  • Experience of using Primavera P6 or similar planning tool.
