A leading development sector organization based in Islamabad is looking for Manager/ Assistant Manager (Infrastructure) for the Disasters & Climate Change project.

 The incumbent will be responsible of the following:

  • Review structure design, drawings and cost estimates of the schemes to be financed under the project
  • Manage tendering process, monitoring and verification of civil works
  • Prepare of contract agreements for constructors and partner organizations and oversee portfolio and relationship management
  • Conduct field visits to project sites to track progress and ensure quality of construction
  • Report progress and review of  quarterly / monthly reports of projects / partners
  • Coordinate with relevant government departments and development organizations working in the area

Job specification

  • B.Sc. / BE or 16 years of education in civil engineering from a PEC / HEC recognized institution and a valid PEC registration membership.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience; special focus on designing drought and flood mitigation/protection structures.
  • Experience in Project Management and budgeting skills to forecast budget for the unit/program.
  • Team management and team building skills with collaborative management style to delegate tasks in the team along with excellent leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills. (For Managers).
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Time management skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure situations
  • Experience in design / monitoring of community physical infrastructure or related construction
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project) and AutoCAD.
