Relevant Experience & Qualification: 

  • 5-7 year working experience in the field of social sector particularly with NGOs and INGOs Government at provincial and district level.
  • Master preferably in Social work or any discipline of Social Sciences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge about social mobilization, human rights and water governance in Sindh province.
  • Excellent networking and coordination Skills
  • Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills in English

 Job Description:

The position is responsible for carrying out the office and field level activities, including training, mobilization, awareness raising and reporting related to – Project titled “Women’s Increased Access to Water Resources and Agricultural Markets” in District Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan and Badin. 

  • Manage and facilitate flow of essential information with project team members.
  • Maintain project calendar and milestones, outcomes and deliverables.
  • Organize Self-help groups and conduct meetings, awareness sessions and trainings.
  • Organize stakeholders’ meetings at provincial and district level with relevant government departments.
  • Strong Liaison with legislators/ parliamentarians and District government officials.
  • Initiate planning for project with guidance from Project Manager (Operational Planning andBudgeting)
  • Assist PM to develop, track work plan and execute with partners .
  • Organize policy advocacy and lobbying meeting with legislators for advocacy and lobbying for the approval of amendments in the Sindh Water Management Ordinance (SWMO)-2002, development of rules of business, and its implementation at the district level in the focused areas.
  • Close Coordination with Sindh Irrigation Drainage Authority (SIDA), District Agriculture and Livestock department, representatives on human rights, women rights for the effective implementation of project and drafting MOUs.
  • Carrying out independent research/ data collection on project related information.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and supervision of activities implemented in the project’s sites to ensure effective implementation.
  • Supervise and record project activities and expenditure against budget
  • Responsible for managing project database
  • Implement the project M & E plan in a professional manner
  • Visit project sites on a regular basis
  • Participate in Project review meetings
  • Participate in Planning for transfer / transition of achievements
  • Close Coordination with Self-help group members women landholder, Landless sharecropper, Women owning livestock, to carry out the advocacy plan, provide technical support and organize monthly and quarterly review meetings
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and bi-annual work plans and activity report.
  • Documentation of all activities and compiled data for monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Provide technical support to project team and partners when necessary
  • Identifying training needs of partners and beneficiaries in the context of the project
  • Contribute in developing operating tools for project interventions
  • Assist in reviewing and redesigning intervention in consultation with the Project manager and partners and in response to evolving needs of target groups
  • Compile /document lessons learnt and intervention model
  • Document research findings together with other project team members, partners and consultants.
