Job Description

  • Provide IT support for interviews/meetings at COMPANY offices and manage all the email accounts of COMPANY’s employees.
  • Manage the centralized internet security for COMPANY which is capable of system and data recovery in case of a mishap.
  • Manage COMPANY’s shared drive and implement a system that enables a process to grant/revoke access/privileges to employees to share drive folders as per their need.
  • Manage and troubleshoot VOIP and Video conferencing issues.
  • Set up and synchronize network administration systems (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including wireless system, internet access, office systems and applications support).
  • Install and configure all network IT hardware and other peripherals, software, and applications.
  • Recommend specification for procurement of laptops and other IT related hardware and software.
  • Provide on-the-job- IT related basic training to staff members, if required.
  • Provide remote assistance to the COMPANY staff in Field office/s, as and when required.
  • The firm will ensure that IT equipment is managed properly, and the COMPANY employees provided with required IT support and mitigate any risk that may affect IT operations.
  • Assist COMPANY management in designing of IT policies.
  • Coordinate with region for server troubleshooting as and when required.
  • Provide support in case of disaster recovery.
  • Set up IT networking system in case of office expansion/ relocation without any additional cost.
  • Provide remote/ second tier support to the company in case any IT issue cannot be resolved by the IT person deployed at Islamabad. 
  • Assist in the management of office IT equipment and determine any equipment requiring replacement or repositioning.
  • Liaise with any relevant service providers to perform network cabling and Internet provision requirements. Liaise with the ISP, to confirm bandwidth availability and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Manage and support users on the wireless network - troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Test the power stability of the network to determine stability and efficiency.
  • Setup network printers/scanners and give users access to these services.
  • Continuously monitor the LAN, Internet and WAN (where applicable) ensuring users have access and can meet their objectives using ICT.
  • Implement company's standard server threat management software to protect servers from viruses, malware and data exfiltration.
  • Provide help desk support to Pakistan staff with IT queries as they may arise. This may include setting up laptops, installing approved desktop software, and supporting conferencing via WebEx, Zoom.
  • Assist in the documentation and review of recurring IT costs and IT vendors.
  • Maintain a backup of all relevant documents that are placed on the shared drive and ensure that data is continuously migrated and stored in a safe place.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
  • Fortygate firewall experience
  • Refresh laptops when returned by staff members and fix issues. 

Key Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum five years of experience in providing IT support to reputable organizations
  • Should be based in Islamabad

Period of Performance: 

The assignment is expected to be initially for a period of three months, after which it will be extended based on mutual consent.
