Jhpiego is looking for a candidate of Monitoring and Evaluation Manager based in Islamabad. The responsibilities of this position includes;

  • Lead the preparation of M&E plan and data collection tools of the project, to enable project to collect, aggregate and analyse program data.
  • Identify performance indicators and collect relevant service delivery data from District Health Information System (DHIS) and other available resources.  And perform comprehensive analysis of program data, extracting meaningful information for effective program implementation.
  • Provide periodic feedback to Senior Technical Advisor and the program team for efficient and effective implementation of program activities. Conduct monthly/quarterly review meetings for each district with M&E team, prepare and share findings/progress report with district leads.
  • Monitor quality of trainings and provide recommendation to the program team for improving quality of trainings as per the standards determined by the technical team. S/he will be responsible to follow- up on the implementation of recommendations.
  • To ensure that training information management system (TIMS) prepared for the project, in consultation with MIS Manager, meets all the requirements of the Government and captures all necessary data required for reporting to the donor agency. The person will also be responsible to train staff on the use of TIMS.
  • Conduct Data Quality Audits (DQA) on quarterly basis to ensure that quality of collected data is meeting the desired quality standards of the institution and the donor. S/he will be responsible to ensure completeness and accuracy of information in TIMS.
  • Lead on design and implementation of qualitative and quantitative data collection such as needs assessments, KPC surveys using recognized methods of data collection. Liaise with consultants for new survey methodologies if not experienced. Work with staff to develop and standardize survey tools and other data collection forms for monitoring programs.
  • Assist and supervise Assistant M&E Manager in developing weekly/monthly plans, data collection and analysis processes.
  • To collect and collate M&E related information in the quarterly/annual report to be presented to the prime partner for further submission to the donor agency. Liaise with communication specialist in preparing the quarterly/annual reports and presentation.
  • Eloquently communicate with head office M&E team regarding updates and queries.
  • Participate in research activities, data analysis, manuscript and abstract writing.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. 

Experience and Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics
  • Should have at least 7 years’ experience at similar position.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of MS Office, SPSS, Stata and other statistical software.
  • 50% of time required to spend in the field.
  • Experience of trainings/technical support in proposal writing, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis and technical writing (Report and Manuscript).
  • Should be able to develop quarterly/annually results reports.
  • Capacity to interact with managers at different levels to ensure understanding of key findings.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with an ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Must be able to work independently and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Knowledge of local language would be an additional benefit.
