Assistant Engineer (Power House)

Qualification:

• DAE (Electrical)

Experience:

• Minimum 05 years in oil and gas sector or fertilizer plants

Skills:

• Sound knowledge and skills for operation, maintenance and synchronization of Gensets of Power House
• Sound knowledge of Protections of Power house and sub stations
• Sound knowledge of Switchgear Operation and Maintenance
• Sound knowledge of parameters related to power generation and enginators
• Experience on Waukesha gas generators would be additional advantage
• Good knowledge of Safety procedures related to power house

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of Captive Power Plant
• Continuous inspection and monitoring of running equipments/machinery and their parameters for any abnormality
• Maintaining logbooks on hourly, daily and monthly basis
• Responsible for safe and smooth operation of Power House
• Issuance of work permit
• Safety assurance during implementation of project / works
• Communicate emergency situation to concerned incharges
• In case of any emergency or shutdown, switching off less critical load to save critical plants power supply
• Responsible for safe and smooth operation of Power House
• Coordinate with maintenance staff for schedule service and record keeping of service book
• Supervision of oil cleaner and sweeper at Power House
• Issuance of Permit for any job at Power House
• Supervision of housekeeping of Power House
• Report problems to seniors arising in Power House timely
