Description

DAI is currently seeking applications for long-term positions for anticipated multi-year donor funded health sector programmes in Pakistan. Candidates with at least 8 years of experience of working on international development health programmes in one or more of the specialized technical and management fields listed below are encouraged to apply.

Programme management: with prior experience managing complex and large-scale DFID-funded development programmes, with multi-year budgeting and work planning cycles; provision of technical assistance to government agencies; stakeholder and team management; and working with nationally and internally based teams. Proven senior level manager of health sector programmes. Holds a postgraduate degree in public or international health, communicable or infectious diseases, epidemiology or related discipline.


  • A good understanding of the challenges, roadblocks, opportunities and entry-points in Pakistan’s health sector, state-led health service delivery
  • Strong presentational skills, in both written and oral communication in English and Urdu are essential.
  • A professional, pleasant and solution-oriented attitude, with a passion for improving health sector services and outcomes –especially maternal and child health
  • Relevant experience of working with donor programmes funded by DFID and USAID
  • Able and willing to travel and/or work nationally.
  • Experience of working with government counterparts at federal/provincial level especially Ministry of Health
