Description

DAI is currently seeking applications for long-term positions for anticipated multi-year donor funded health sector programmes in Pakistan. Candidates with at least 8 years of experience of working on international development health programmes in one or more of the specialized technical and management fields listed below are encouraged to apply.

  • Monitoring, evaluation and learning: with prior experience of developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, learning and knowledge management strategies for large and complex donor health programmes. Demonstrates an understanding of development frameworks such as, log-frame, results/performance management frameworks, risks assessments and mitigation strategies, and value for money frameworks. Expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Holds a postgraduate degree in one of the following; epidemiology, demography, statistics, health informatics, or public health.
  • A good understanding of the challenges, roadblocks, opportunities and entry-points in Pakistan’s health sector, state-led health service delivery
  • Strong presentational skills, in both written and oral communication in English and Urdu are essential.
  • A professional, pleasant and solution-oriented attitude, with a passion for improving health sector services and outcomes –especially maternal and child health
  • Relevant experience of working with donor programmes funded by DFID and USAID
  • Able and willing to travel and/or work nationally.
  • Experience of working with government counterparts at federal/provincial level especially Ministry of Health
