Position Objectives:

The position is to provide technical oversight in effective and efficient implementation of Youth & volunteers related activities at district & community level. To assist PRCS project team in identifying specific volunteer recruitment and retention strategies and to augment volunteer management so that PRCS is better able to undertake integrated program approach at community level .Also to provide strategic and technical oversight of to PRCS project teams  work on child protection, sexual and gender-based violence prevention and response, protection, gender sensitive programming, social inclusion, disability inclusion and violence prevention often in collaboration with other sectors.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

  • Planning, mobilizing, recruitment, training and organization of volunteers and youth groups in the light of objectives of youth and volunteer policy of PRCS.
  • Ensure provision of technical insight in launching volunteer registration derives & formation of youth groups
  • Facilitate in execution of planned activities under the project document by ensuring to address gender inclusion component.
  • Assist Disaster Preparedness and Management Department in the formation of Core Response Teams at all levels and availability of volunteers for distribution of relief goods among the affectees of natural and man-made disaster
  • Work out strategies for retention of volunteers and incentives that may be given to them.
  • Maintaining computerized data-base of volunteers.
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of youth & volunteer program to ensure implementation as per planned objective
    • Taking Youth Initiatives for youth Development to strengthen the department 
    • Providing Advocacy and counselling to the Youth members
    • Lead all the PGI related activities/interventions within PRCS
    • Ensure capacity building of district staff on standard training on Gender-based Violence, Child Protection, Social Inclusion, Disability Inclusion and other PGI themes, to National Society, States, Government Departments or ICRC and IFRC teams
    • Facilitate and document learning and knowledge sharing and development, including peer learning and coaching; heighten advocacy on PGI of vulnerable groups.

Education

  • An advanced degree (16 years of education) from nationally/ internationally recognized degree in any of the subjects i.e. Social Sciences, Humanitarian affairs, Gender Studies

Experience

  • 5 Years relevant experience in  a reputed organization
  • Preference will be given to candidates having working experience of Managing Youth & Volunteer Projects
    • Certification in Project Management would be added value.
    • Good Command over the Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point).
    • Strong monitoring, evaluation, & analysis skills would be required.
