Objective of the Consultancy

The objective of the consultancy is to develop a five years costed  forecast district priority medicines list, in collaboration with the relavant stakeholders of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant will work under direct supervision and guidance of the Country Director with 60 days of lOE (Max 20 days per month), in coordination with National Supply Chain Coordinators. He/she will be responsible for a five-year costed forecast for district priority medicines list including those pertaining to basic heath services and infectious disease prevention. The followings are the principal duties and responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to collect relevant information and data for forecasting and supply planning;
  2. Conduct technical meetings with stakeholders to analyze all relevant data and create accurate forecasts for health commodities;
  3. Meetings with relevant stakeholders in finalizing FASP model;
  4. Develop draft five-year forecast for district priority medicines list;
  5. Meetings with relevant stakeholders on draft forecast;
  6. Finalization and sharing of five-year forecast with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Required Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Supply Chain Management or Social Sciences required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in relevant field. Experience with development sector preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in English required

Period of Performance and LOE

The expected duration of the assignment is three (3) months from November 01, 2019 to January 31, 2020 with a total LOE (Level of Effort) of 60 days distributed as maximum 20 working days per month.

Supervision

The consultant will report directly to the Country Director
