Jhpiego is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Manager Technical - Facility Based Service Delivery based in Peshawar, Pakistan, The selected candidate will be responsible to provide technical support for capacity building and quality improvement interventions to improve quality of MNCH, FP, Nutrition and Infectious disease prevention and treatments at health facilities of  project intervention districts in KP Province. In addition to this, He/ She will provide managerial and technical oversight and guidance to the project. Other responsibilities includes;

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in planning, designing and implementation of capacity development and quality improvement intervention at provincial, district and health facility level as per workplan and activity matrix
  • Support and assist technical team in review and update all technical material and resources to be used in the program activities to ensure technical content is delivered in a quality manner
  • Ensure that integrated capacity building and quality improvement intervention and activities are technically sound, evidence-based.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with district team members to ensure necessary program planning, development, resource availability, and that management activities function smoothly and efficiently to monitor program activities and work for continuous quality improvement.
  • Draft and finalize program donor reports including quarterly, annual reports and success stories
  • Track progress on deliverables on a regular basis in collaboration with technical team members and provide support for troubleshooting and ensuring achievements
  • Work in the areas of Quality improvement to develop plans to ensure effective data collection in support of the program’s needs and requirements, also closely monitor programs activities and play active role for continuous improvement plans.
  • Work closely with Jhpiego and HQ to ensure effective, timely and coordinated project implementation
  • Mentor, support, supervise and manage district team for the implementation of quality improvement activities
  • Contribute to the development of novel knowledge management and sharing tools and processes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • MBBS; with clinical degree, Masters in public health will be preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years project management experience (of which at least half is in a mid-to-senior management position) in MNCH/FP related technical areas.
  • Demonstrated technical and programmatic knowledge and experience in areas such as maternal, neonatal, child, and reproductive health and implementation of quality assurance/improvement interventions
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
  • Proven leadership skills, as well as skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
  • Familiarity with Government donor policies and administrative procedures
  • Demonstrated self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability) and the ability to project a professional, consistent image of confidence, integrity and competence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Urdu, Pashto
  • Excellent facilitation, oral and written communications skills
