Background:

The growing problem of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) has emerged as a major health crisis in almost all countries of the world including Pakistan. National Institute of Health along with support of Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination has developed National Action Plan (NAP) for AMR. Research and development is one of the key priority areas highlighted in NAP to strengthen knowledge about AMR in Pakistan. It is therefore pertinent to recruit a research coordinator/associate who can work in building a research coordination network for implementation of Interventions as outlined in objective 2 and 5 of the Global Action Plan and relevant strategies of the NAP on AMR.

 

Terms of References:

       i.         To provide support to develop mechanism for conducting survey and resource mapping on AMR.

     ii.         Support research on clinical practices on AMR and rational use of Antimicrobials.

    iii.         Reviewing research papers on AMR published from Pakistan.

    iv.         Work closely in coordination with other partner institutes to priorities research on AMR.

     v.         Support for development of national AMR research priority agenda in coordination with Health Development Partners / experts to support research.

    vi.         Analysis of published data on AMR from Pakistan in order to evaluate the economic impact as and when required.  

 

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS with Post-graduation degree in any discipline of laboratory sciences or public health.

Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years of working experience in the field of medicine and clinical setup.
