Job Description:

Chemonics International seeks a qualified individual for the role of Team Leader for a multi-year DFID-funded programme based in Islamabad with operations in Punjab and KP provinces to improve tax collection and improve the business and trade environment to promote business growth and increased investment in Pakistan. Technical areas of support include tax policy, tax-related communications, investment promotion, business enabling environment regulatory reform, customs, trade facilitation and trade policy.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record managing complex economic development programs in developing countries, including responsibilities for large-scale budgets and teams. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience leading economic growth, public financial management, or trade programmes. DFID project leadership experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced degree in Economics, Business or related field. 
• Senior level leader, with a minimum of 15 years of experience managing tax revenue mobilization, business enabling environment, customs, and/or trade policy programmes.
• Knowledge and prior experience of DFID or international development organization operations, programming, and structure.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing and successfully delivering development results in Pakistan or countries with similar context to Pakistan.
• Experience working with public officials, private sector, donor organizations, and civil society groups on issues of tax, business enabling environment, and trade.
