Summary:

The main responsibility of this position is to support and assist Sr. District Manager in developing and implementing specific district related tasks as mentioned in ToRs. He/she will be based in Dadu and will reports to Sr. District Manager Dadu.

Specific Job Functions

  • Support/assist the Senior District Manager in developing and implementing a CMP district monthly work plan
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in social mobilization especially working with School Management Committees and local community on student enrolment especially girls and child nutrition
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting and organizing community level meetings, particularly in conducting community/SMC training
  • Sufficient experience of event management like celebration of school/community level events
  • Having expertise in identifying and seeking support from influencers/community leaders, schools teachers and etc. regarding successful implementation of planed activities both at school and community level
  • Assist the community members in developing their own capacity and strength to the point where they no longer need the services of you the mobilizer
  • Having expertise in preparation of students for different event segments like speeches, tableau performance
  • Strong motivational skills especially educating communities in retention of girls enrolment
  • Having in-depth understanding on social issues/cultural barriers related to participation of women/mothers in school level activities 
  • Expertise in linkage building/liaison with focused communities/SMCs and government officials regarding their participation in different activities of the program
  • Basic IT and report writing skills

Required Qualifications & Experiences 

  • A University graduate with social sciences/community development background.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community mobilization and/or working with NGOs/INGOs and NGO networks.
  • Proven Management, Supervisory, Communication, Presentation, Networking and Analytical skills 
  • Good proficiency in local languages like Sindh and Urdu.
  • Possess good understanding of various stakeholders, especially SMCs, local communities, and district education department.
  • Familiar with the beliefs and cultural practices of targeted communities (especially rural community)
