Senior Manager, Recruitment, Selection and Matriculation (RSM)

TFP is  Headquartered in Islamabad and has recruited and supported over 102 excellent teachers and education leaders. We aim to grow this number aggressively given the scale and urgency of education inequity in Pakistan.

The Role

Position Summary

The Recruitment, Selection and Matriculation (RSM) team is responsible for all activities pertaining to the identification and recruitment of program participants (Fellows) who have the potential to be highly effective teachers and leaders. The Senior Manager, as team lead, will be responsible for designing and implementing short term and long-term strategies that are aligned with TFP’s vision for change and organizational strategy. In order to meet Teach For Pakistan’s goal to rapidly expand and achieve scale, the Senior Manager will continuously assess the recruitment and selection landscapes and readjust strategies accordingly.

The Senior Manager will ensure a significant pool of quality applications as well as design  and manage the selection and matriculation processes, which will ensure the best intellectual talent for the Fellowship program.

Key Measures of Success

  • Successfully place target number of quality participants for the 2020 Fellowship and future cycles.
  • Strengthen systems and processes for recruitment, selection and matriculation activities for 2020 and future cycles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establishing and strengthening partnerships with leading graduate employers; graduate schools and scholarship granting institutions to secure incentives for TFP Fellows;
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with higher education institutions and organizations to facilitate sourcing and recruiting activities for fresh graduates and young professionals;
  • On-ground recruitment of graduating students in the country’s top universities, including managing TFP representatives at pre-selected universities;
  • On-ground recruitment of young professionals at leading firms and NGOs;

A partner in the Teach For All global network

  • Create and manage an ambitious campaign to recruit talented, diverse individuals to join the Fellowship, in close collaboration with the marketing and communications team;
  • Developing admissions, screening and selection procedures and tools; and assignment of TFP Fellows;
  • Developing and managing the execution of the matriculation process for selected Fellows;
  • Train, build and support a high-performing team who have the skills needed to be successful in a fast-paced, goals-driven environment;
  • Evaluate effectiveness of strategies and recruitment campaign through data collection and analysis – The RSM team needs to be critically adaptive, creative and solution oriented in a fast paced cycle;
  • Leverage Teach For Pakistan's constituent relationship management system, Salesforce, to manage constituent base and track campaign's progress;
  • Support the CEO in organizational development, particularly in areas of scale and partnerships;
  • Support other functional areas particularly in areas Training and Support of Fellows.

S/he will have the following qualifications:

  • Masters degree in the areas of business, management, marketing and communications, humanities or social sciences
  • 5+ years of work experience, with prior experience of managing fast paced teams. Experience in communications or brand management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in relationship building. Can develop and cultivate relationships and networks in order to achieve results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in English

  • Ability to travel domestically
