Purpose of the position:

As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and within her/his specialty, the Head of (Lady Reading Hospital) LRH Project is the focal point of LRH Emergency Department (ED) project to ensure the delivery of quality emergency service, project implementation and consolidated partnership. S/he works to build capacity in the specific area of expertise within ICRC-supported hospital structures often working with limited resources and in a challenging environment. S/he support Health Program Manager to assess and analyze health situation and develop and deliver a measurable project strategy, based on relevant international or Ministry of Health of Pakistan guidelines.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Valid medical degree as per Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.  Pre-hospital care & Emergency medicine background a strong asset
  • Minimum 5 years of humanitarian work experience in similar field
  • Minimum 3 years ICRC working experience an asset
  • Diploma on hospital project management / emergency medicine
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Urdu and Pashto.
  • License to practice in Pakistan                                                            

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the ICRC project at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH)
  • Analyzes operational challenges - offers tangible solutions aimed at improving quality of health care
  • Monitors quality, relevance and implementation of the ICRC supported health activities
  • Develops and implements the LRH Emergency Department (ED) support project model
  • Works in collaboration with local health authorities in order to maintain good partnership
  • Ensures the running of the health project to meet the ICRC objectives
  • Facilitates collaboration with the different stakeholders involved in the Monitoring & Evaluation plan
  • Monitors and Evaluates the project using Result Based Management (RBM) tool
  • Supports the health authorities to implement agreed training program
