Background of CSSP

Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) is a non-profit civil society organization which emerged as a response to the challenges faced by the civil society of Pakistan with regards to the fight against poverty, social injustice, and humanitarian issues. It was established in 2005 and registered under Societies Act 1860. The thematic programs of CSSP include; Youth empowerment & employability, Education, Culture, Sports & Tourism and localized Humanitarian action, whereas Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Gender and Environment are its cross cutting themes.

Job Purpose

To lead the design and implementation of planning, monitoring, evaluation’s data collection, data management and reporting system of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze the existing M&E system and develop M&E improvement plan.
  • Ensure proper planning of the ongoing projects and individuals working at field and HO.
  • Organize monthly and quarterly progress review and planning meetings at field and HO level.
  • Ensure activity plan/ concept notes of all the planned activities.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly monitoring visits of all the projects to ensure quality delivery as per agreed TORs/ Agreement with the donors.
  • Evaluate results/ output/outcomes and collect case studies to measure the results.
  • Design Management Information System (MIS) and train the staff in data collection and reporting as per requirement of projects/programs. 
  • Develop TORs of consultants relevant to M&E section of the organization.
  • Supervise and support the consultants in finalizing the documents/ tasks.
  • Organize and facilitate internal review/ assessment/ evaluations as per need of the organization.
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly reports from all sections/ offices of the organization.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual report of the organization.
  • Submit donor reports as per agreed TORs/ Standard and timelines.
  • Provide assistance to the program team in developing manuals, IEC material and other documents.
  • Develop E-Newsletter/ News bulletin and disseminate among the stakeholders.
  •  Ensure effective communication between M&E team, project staff, partner teams, and head office.
  • Act as a focal person for resource mobilization of the organization.
  • Prepare and maintain resource mobilization log and assist program team/ management in developing concept papers/ proposal as and when required.
  • Develop complaint and accountability mechanism and ensure transparency at all levels.
  • Monitor and update CSSP website, social media pages and other image building component of the organization.
  • Represent CSSP at different forums and promote CSSP’s program.
  • Coordinate with CSSP GB/ BOD members for sharing updated information and facilitate them for their meetings.
  • Take lead role in strategic planning of the organization.
  • Any other assignment given by the supervisor.

Experience

At least 03 years’ of professional experience as Manager in monitoring & evaluation and sound knowledge about Result Based Management (RBM).

Education

Master’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.

Skills

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to break down complex problems
  • Excellent communication and representative skills (written, oral)
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of technicalities of program and M&E
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and email.
  • Excellent report writing skills with fluency in English language (written & verbal)
  • A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic and organization skills which support and enable sound decision making.
  • Positive attitude and ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
