Redesigning and Development of
Strengthening Participatory Organization

Scope Of Work:

The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to the following:

1. Interactive, appealing, highly usable and responsive web-design: Web-designs are very subjective, we expect the hired company to show-case their best elements in delivering suitable intranet design options. The design and solution must be easy to use
2. Average site load-time should be reasonable
3. Search-engine friendly
4. Able to render appropriately on a wide variety of browsers and mobile devices
5. Be Secure: The solution design should adhere to data security best practices, for example: passwords should not be stored in plain-text, all forms of data should be validated, user-interactions and activities should be logged, etc.
6. Design and final solution should adhere to accessibility and compliance requirements (as defined by the IT team): The web-solution should be designed to ensure that everyone, including users who have difficulty seeing, hearing, and making precise movements, can use them.
7. Provide public and registered users (Members’) only areas
8. Site-news/trending-now content blocks: The web solution will provide content/screen areas containing:

10.                                    ii.             Upcoming events
11.                                  iii.             Latest news/Site news
12.                                  iv.             Trending topics
13.                                    v.             Newsletter
    1. Secured and authenticated Web-access - the solution should be secure in accordance with prevailing best practices.
    2. Calendar, Events, Reminders, calendar integration: Specific/authorized users should have the ability to create and administer events and event details. Other users should be able to search for and find events based on specific criteria. Members should be able to receive notifications that an event has been scheduled and reminders of upcoming events.

    4. Generate Email Notifications
    5. Survey & Poll: Intranet should be able to conduct a survey of around 10 to 20 questions and Polling / voting system should also be available
    6. Users should also be able to assign star ratings on articles, videos and other informational content
    7. Multilingual support for some pages (English and Urdu)
    8. Website should be developed in WordPress Platform
    9. Impart training to SPO staff (i.e. Administrator(s) / Users)
    10. Import all data from the old to the newly developed website
    11. Maintenance support services may be extended for a six-month period after completion of website development work.

Duration/Timeframe:

The assignment will require 30 days and tentatively will be carried out between 20th Aug and 20th Sep, 2019.

Copyrights:

SPO will hold exclusive rights to all design and other work products contained on the website. Should the consultant require use of the website in their portfolio, they will require written permission from SPO.

Compensation

The remuneration covers professional fee of the consultant. The consultant will be paid in Pak rupees. Total payment for this assignment shall be made after completion of the assigned task.
