Relevant Experience:

 

  • Professional education i.e. Diploma in Baking and pastry with a certificate in Food Safety and hygiene.
  • Graduate ( in case of intermediate he/she should have supervisory level experience in 3-5 star hotel and if matriculate he/she should have above 5 years supervisory level experience in room division)
  • Have basic knowledge of IT (Computer operating and Ms. Office)
  • Pro-Active and have leadership ability to motivate adults for learning and change behavior.
  • At least two to three years of training and professional experience in the relevant field.

JOB Summary: Baking & pastry Trainer carries out the administrative and support functions of baking & pastry training under Hospitality Management Training Program. The B&P trainer must have a pro-active approach to initiate and follow through a variety of ideas by keeping in view the adult learning theories by getting approval from management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend the training objectives and derive learning outcomes by designing /reviewing training material/manuals and execute training sessions in close coordination with the supervisor.
  • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, etc)
  • Develop course outline and study material when required
  • Preparing and setting up training activities.
  • Use a variety of training techniques for building the technical competencies of baking art within a given time.
  • Develop, support, and evaluate the professional and ethical grooming of trainees during the period.
  • Manage trainee’s progress evaluation (Formative & Summative) and submit reports (hard & soft copies) to supervisor within a week of evaluation and update results in MIS (Management information system) accordingly.
  • Ensure the proper management of trainees and training area during skill workshops.
  • Ensure the completion of paperwork regarding training (where required).
  • Ensure supplies are well stocked and re-organize time to time for best utilization.
  • Manage the stock and ensure the effective and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Manage to place requisition, receive practical training material and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure the classroom management following the clean and healthy training environment.
  • Ensure the safe and adequate operations of all training equipment.
  • Identify barriers/issues in training and share with management.
  • Be up to date with new innovations, contemporary knowledge of Baking & pastry art, food safety and hospitality through reading relevant journals/Material/blogs.
  • Develop theoretical and hands-on training schedules and plans to ensure efficient delivery of knowledge.
  • Will be able to design short courses and its content if required.
  • Follow the Hashoo Foundation policies and procedures and adhere to the guidelines set by the management.
  • Attend management meetings as and when required
  • Acknowledge trainee’s management and other stakeholder’s feedback.
  • Perform any other assignment given by the training officer.
