Specialists for Ghizaiat Nutrition Activity

Chemonics seeks specialists for the proposed five-year, $15 million Ghizaiat Nutrition Activity. This multi-sector nutrition activity will work to improve the nutritional status of the Pakistani people especially women and children living in the newly merged districts (NMD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. Ghizaiat will focus on increasing local production, commercialization and consumption of nutritious foods, and increasing households’ awareness of good nutrition and hygiene behaviors. These positions will be based in Peshawar. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

We are actively recruiting for the following positions: 

1. Access to markets/private sector engagement/microfinance specialist
2. Nutrition specialist
3. Agriculture production specialist
4. Gender and social inclusion specialist
5. Water and sanitation specialist
6. Social and Behavioral Change Communications specialist
7. Community Development specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in public health, nutrition, WASH, agricultural economics, social sciences, or a related technical field required; master's degree preferred
• Minimum five years of progressively more responsible work experience in a donor funded project. Experience with USAID a plus
• Proven managerial and supervisory experience
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills 
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with diverse teams, national and provincial government officials, international donors, and private sector stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity 
• Proficiency in English and Urdu required.
