Overview

The Grants Officer will oversee the grant implementation process in the assigned regional office. This position will report to the Grants Manager in the Lahore regional office.

 

Scope of Work 

  • Oversee grant implementation and work with grantees to ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with activity design.
  • Facilitate grantee and program team to resolve issues that arise during grant implementation.
  • Analyze grant budget estimates for allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and consistency.
  • Schedule meetings to define roles, responsibilities and timelines for grantees.
  • Generate and review all aspects of grant agreements with grantees and ensure all activities are implemented in line with the activity design
  • Review and submit payment requests at kick off meetings.
  • Ensure that all grant activities are properly documented from the start of implementation to grant close-down.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications 

  • University degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in grants management or in a similar role required.
  • Relevant experience working on USAID contract in a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with communities, civil society and the local government.
  • Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs required.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • English language fluency required.
  • Working experience in the Punjab will be highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in local languages is highly preferred.
